There's been thunderstorms all day here. I wish the Phillies bats were making some of it. They've been terrible with runners in scoring position this road trip. Granted, we faced Tim Lincecum last night, but there's no reason we can't manufacture one run.
Also, I went out and got my brand new Cliff Lee shirt last night. Sweet.
Today's game is at 4, which I like because once the game ends, I can enjoy my whole night with a Phillies win. I'm anticipating the upcoming homestand, we have a real chance to put some space between ourselves and the rest of the division.
Also, in unrelated news, I think the fact that the New Era Cap prices continue to rise is ridiculous. I went into the Franklin Mills LIDS store last night and was looking for a new cap. I have all the Phillies ones, and I picked up the Stars and Stripes cap as well. However, I wanted a Cooperstown throwback for another team. I picked up the Baltimore cap from the 1960's (I have family in the Baltimore area, I'm not an Orioles fan but don't mind seeing them win) and read the tag. $33.99! Ridiculous. My friend Will had a LIDS discount card so I was able to knock it down to around 25 dollars, but still. Lovely.
